Transit Service Changes Begin August 16!

Starting Sunday, August 16, Sun Tran, Sun Express, and Sun Shuttle will implement service and route changes. Riders are encouraged to review the upcoming changes and plan their trips before traveling.

Sun Tran and Sun Express

Several routes will receive routing updates:

  • Route 4 will now service Udall Transit Station, replacing service to South Kolb Road.
  • Route 8 will merge with Route 108X, extending service to Houghton Road while increasing frequency to every 15 minutes.
  • Route 9 will be extended to Pima Community College East, replacing service to Udall Transit Station.
  • Sun Express Routes 102X and 104X will merge into a single route. Service along Speedway Boulevard will be discontinued. Riders traveling to Speedway Boulevard and Campbell Avenue can use Route 103X. Sun Express is also introducing Route 124X – Northwest-Downtown Express, providing convenient service between Oro Valley, Marana and Downtown Tucson.

In addition to these routing updates, Routes 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 15, 16, 19, 34, 37, 61, 62 and 124X will receive schedule adjustments.

As part of the August service changes, Route 10 at Ronstadt Transit Center will relocate to Bay O on Sixth Avenue. Wayfinding maps will be displayed at the transit center to help riders navigate the new boarding location.

Sun Shuttle

Routes 401, 412, 413, 421X, 430, and 450 will receive schedule changes.

Updated maps and schedules are available at Suntran.com, where riders can view route information, access the latest schedules and maps, and plan their trips before traveling.

Riders can also use the Transit App to track buses in real time, receive service alerts, view estimated arrival times, and plan their trips. The app’s GO feature provides step-by-step audio and visual navigation throughout each journey.
